Nice post at Chasing the Flame by Emily Holland of the International Rescue Committee on working with humanitarians and journalists to get the word out about sexual violence, especially in conflict and post-conflict zones around the world.
“For some journalists — and for all humanitarians — continuing to remind the world is a full-time job. ”
IRC was incredibly helpful to me when I was reporting on rape in eastern Congo last winter. They have great resources on their website on the sexual violence in Congo and also on the conflict more broadly.
